(20:35) SANTA CRUZ– The City of Santa Cruz Public Works Department is scheduled to begin the Cedar Street Fiber Optic Project beginning on Monday, Construction is expected to continue weekdays through Friday, July 31, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with minimal traffic impact. Fiber optic conduits and pull boxes will be installed in the street and sidewalk along the eastside of Cedar Street from the northwest corner at Locust Street to North Pacific Avenue and Mission Street. Cedar Street will remain open to two-way vehicular traffic at all times, however, the public should be prepared for possible minor delays. Pedestrian traffic will be minimally detoured. Access to homes and businesses will remain open during construction.
