(UPDATE) May 27, 2015: Two Men Injured in Crash in Salinas

(Updated at 07:17) – Two men were hospitalized Tuesday morning following a crash in Salinas. The incident occurred on Blanco Road shortly before 11 a.m. Officials say 23-year-old Pablo Pomales ran a red light at South Main Street and crashed into a 21-year-old man driving across the intersection. Both drivers were transported to a trauma center with major injuries and are expected to recover. Officers found evidence of prescription drug use in Pomales’s vehicle. The investigation is ongoing. (16:30) SALINAS – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday morning after they crashed their vehicles into each other in Salinas. The 11 a.m. accident occurred on Blanco Road at the intersection of South Main Street. Both drivers were transported to Natividad Medical Center. They both suffered major injuries, but are expected to survive. (S.S.)
