(17:55) SALINAS – A Salinas man has been hospitalized after being struck by a car. The 40 year old victim was in an East Alisal Street crosswalk when he was hit by a car shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. The unidentified victim was transported to the hospital with injuries to his upper body and head, and remains in critical condition. The driver passed sobriety tests and has been cooperative with investigators. At this time no charges have been filed. (P.M.D)
