May 15, 2015: Thousands of Gallons of Water Lost Following Crash in Salinas

(7:00) SALINAS – Several thousand gallons of water were lost in Salinas last night after a driver crashed into a fire hydrant. The incident occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Harris Place. Officials say the water flooded the street after a semi-truck hit the hydrant. Crews were able to shut off the water 40 minutes after the crash. (S.G.)
