May 14, 2015: Credit Card Skimmers Discovered On The Central Coast

(22:45) PACIFIC GROVE – Credit Card skimmers have been discovered on the Central Coast. Pacific Grove police were called to a gas station on Forest Avenue to investigate two of devices, used to steal credit and debit card information, found on gas pumps. In this case tamper protection caused the pumps to stop working, alerting employees to the skimmers, which can either be mounted at the card reader or inside the pump itself. Officials say when in doubt use cash or pay inside and keep a close watch on your bank transactions. (P.M.D.)
