No one was injured when a plane flying from Monterey to Los Angeles made an emergency landing yesterday. The United Express jet departed Monterey Regional Ariport shortly after 7 a.m. The plane was preparing to land at LAX when the pilot discovered that the landing gear was failing to deploy. The pilot made an emergency landing on the runway without the wheels down. All 40 passengers and three crew members got off the aircraft without injury.
