UC Santa Cruz police are warning students about a federal loan scam. Individuals claiming to be IRS agents have been contacting students, claiming they have unpaid fees, loans or taxes. They also threaten to arrest students if they do not pay immediately. Anyone who receives a call of this nature is urged to contact Santa Cruz police.
