The Central Coast is set to receive close to 30 new officers. Law enforcement agencies are bolstering their ranks from Friday’s 128th graduating class at the South Bay Regional Police Academy. Watsonville is receiving the most officers with eight new graduates paid for by its new safety sales tax. It is also the first time the department has had that many new officers at once. Salinas will be benefiting from its measure G as it prepares five recruits for the next academy.
