The death toll from Nepal’s recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake is up to 55-hundred people, and several Monterey county residents are trying to raise money to send to help the survivors. Carmel Valley business owner Christine Kolisch says Nepal is her ‘other home’ and she has a goal of trying to raise 40-thousand dollars to send to the survivors. College Physics teacher Dhan Khadka has been spending his free time doing what he can too. People who wish to help can go on-line and donate to:    WeHelpNepal.org.
