Law Enforcement Recognizes National Distracted Driving Awareness Month- 4/24/15 06:00 M.K.

April marks National Distracted Driving Awareness Month.  A California Office of Traffic Safety study last year found 54 percent of drivers admitted to making an error while talking on the phone. 61 percent said they almost got hit by a person who was using their phone. Tickets for using a cellphone while driving begin at more than $160. Police say drivers should also consider the risks of other forms of distracted driving, like eating, reading, or playing loud music.
