Vaccine Bill Passes Out of Education Committee- 4/23/15 08:00 S.G.

A state bill that would prevent unvaccinated children from attending schools passed out of the Senate Education Committee yesterday. Lawmakers voted 7-2 in favor of the legislation, which would remove California’s personal belief exemption which enables parents to opt their child out of required vaccinations. The bill has recently been amended to allow unvaccinated children to complete their education through home schooling and independent courses. The bill will next go to the judiciary committee.
