A Sand City man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Santa Cruz. Earlier this month, the U.S. Bank on Morrissey Boulevard was robbed by a man dressed as a woman. Today, police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Brandon Calantoc. Calantoc was already being held at Monterey County Jail in connection with a series of burglaries. He has since been taken into custody by Santa Cruz police. Investigators say they found clothing in Calantoc’s car that matched the disguise worn during the bank robbery.
