A Santa Cruz restaurant will be holding a petition signing event today in celebration of Earth Day. Members of the Santa Cruz Redwoods National Monument Campaign will be at Charlie Hong Kong restaurant on Soquel Avenue to gather signatures on their petition. The campaign is working to protect 5,800 acres of redwood forests adjacent to Highway 1 between Wilder Ranch and Swanton Pacific Ranch.
