A U.S. District Court Has Given Monterey county 60 days to submit jail remedies. The order is part of an ongoing litigation concerning conditions in the county jail. The county has been asked to address 16 specific points. County officials say they welcome the injunction and that most of the issues have been resolved, citing tuberculosis as one of specified points that has been addressed, with no TB cases at the jail in over 5 years.
