The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking to recruit new deputies. The agency is looking to employ 22 individuals with a focus on hiring more females. The sheriff’s office is also seeking new recruits to offset overtime costs. The agency hopes to have the recruits ready for police academy by June.
