A ban against commercial marijuana cultivation will be considered by the Santa Cruz County Board of supervisor’s tomorrow. This ban would apply to the unincorporated areas of the county and will also require an additional business tax for dispensaries. The ordinance passed last year allowing the commercial growing of marijuana could be thrown out or changed to avoid problems if and when marijuana is legalized in 2016.
