King City police are investigating a Thursday night armed robbery. Patrol units responded to a silent alarm at Payless Shoes on the 500 block of Canal Street to find the store had been robbed. Authorities say that a man described as in his fifties, 6 foot 2 with blue eyes and blond hair robbed the store at gunpoint and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact police.
