Monterey County officials have selected a new Director of Parks and Recreation. Mark Mariscal was chosen for the position following a 6-month long search. Mariscal previously worked as the operations manager for the parks department in Los Angeles County. He is currently the President of the State Board of Directors of the California Park and Recreation Society. Mariscal will begin working as director on March 23rd.
