A man found guilty of fatally stabbing a Santa Cruz woman has been declared sane. 46-year-old Charles Anthony Edwards was arrested in the killing of Santa Cruz shop owner Shannon Collins in 2012. He was found guilty of murder in the first phase of the trial. The jury was then left to determine whether or not Edwards was insane at the time of the murder. After declaring Edwards sane, the jury must now decide whether or not he should spend life in prison or a mental health facility. He is scheduled to appear in court March 25th for sentencing.
