A Salinas man sustained non-life-threatening injuries during a shooting last night. Officials say the incident occurred at a residence on the 700 block of Elkington Avenue shortly after 8:30. The 26-year-old victim was in the front yard when a vehicle drove up. The front passenger opened fire at the man, striking him in the arm. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. The suspect vehicle has been described as a gray Nissan four door with paper plates and was last seen travelling northbound on Elkington Avenue. Anyone with information is to contact Salinas police.
