Watsonville police are investigating a carjacking that occurred Wednesday night. The incident occurred shortly after 7 on Main Street near Ford Street. Officials say the victim was driving southbound when a man walked in front of his vehicle, causing him to stop. Following a struggle, the carjacker drove off with the victim’s pickup. The driver was not injured. The carjacker has been described as a Latino man in his forties, wearing a dark, short-sleeve shirt and jeans. The stolen vehicle is a red 1992 Ford Ranger with license plate 6H17435. Anyone with information is to contact Watsonville police.
