The family of a victim of sexual assault is urging a Gilroy school to expel one of their daughter’s assailants. 15-year-old Audrie Pott was attacked by three 16-year-old boys at a party in 2012. Pott committed suicide a week following the incident. Her attackers were sentenced to 30 days in juvenile detention for documenting the assault. The girl’s family has since created a petition titled ‘Expel Audrie Pott’s Assailants’ one of whom is a senior at Christopher High School in Gilroy. As of today, the Change.org petition has gathered over 23,000 signatures.
