Employees were evacuated form the AT&T building in Old Town Salinas, and some local roadways were closed to through traffic, earlier today. That after firefighters received reports of smoke in the building around 12:45 p.m. The building is located on Pajaro Street between Alisal and San Luis Streets. Firefighters determined the smoke was caused by a faulty H-Vac motor on the ceiling. Roadways were reopened and employees were able to return to work by 2 p.m.
