A Public Utilities Commission judge has required that PG&E make a motion to dismiss an upgrade in Santa Cruz County. The judge gave the utility company until February 9th to formally submit plans to halt the planned replacement of power lines running through Corralitos and the Day Valley neighborhood near Aptos that organized and hired a lawyer and engineer to assess the project. PG&E along with the company that handles power distribution say that unexpected growth in sustainable energy has lessened the need for the power line upgrade.
