A Live Oak man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit and run in Santa Cruz last month. On the morning of December 26th, a driver struck a bicyclist on Soquel Avenue at Hagemann Avenue. The victim, 63-year-old Jose Adan Lainez, was pronounced dead at the scene. During a month-long investigation, 41-year-old Luke Logan was identified as a person of interest. Logan turned himself in to police yesterday around noon. He was booked into county jail on charges of felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter.
