Carmel officials have delayed the reopening of the Forest Theater. The theater was closed last year for health and safety issues and was expected to reopen in September. City officials announced yesterday that renovations will not be completed until 2016. The delay has been caused by the lengthy process of preparing and planning for the project. The first phase of the renovations could cost an estimated $2 million.
