Monterey County health officials are taking steps to stop vaccine-preventable diseases. This week, advisories were sent to all local schools, letting staff know how many of their students don’t have their vaccinations. State officials have also been sending out the advisories, warning schools that are the most vulnerable to outbreaks. The notices are being issued following the most recent measles outbreak.
