Monterey County health officials have issued advisories at five local beaches. This week, hazardous levels of bacteria were found in water samples taken from Monterey State Beach, Monterey Municipal Beach, San Carlos Beach, Lovers Point, and Spanish Bay. The advisories will remain in effect until further notice.
