A Morgan Hill man was sentenced to five years in prison yesterday for the possession of child pornography. 60-year-old Paul Lawrence Vella pleaded guilty in August to downloading and digitally storing child pornographic material. Federal officials said that his collection was one of the largest ever found in the Silicon Valley area with a total of 915 known victims identified. Once he is released from prison, Vella will be on supervised release for seven years, will have to pay over $29,000 in restitution, and engage in a sex offender treatment program.
