Deputies are investigating the death of a Greenfield man being held in Monterey County Jail yesterday. 56-year-old Mark Vasquez Pajas was booked on Monday for evading a police officer and drug possession. Yesterday, Pajas was found inside his cell suffering a medical incident. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
