A community meeting will be held on Wednesday to address the Presidio of Monterey’s new access procedures. Representatives from the Presidio of Monterey, Monterey’s Police Department, and Parking and Traffic Divisions will be available at the meeting to explain the mitigation efforts put into effect to reduce the neighborhood impacts from new security requirements. Currently, the High Street Gate is open from 7 to 8 a.m., Monday through Friday. Any resident, especially those who live near the Franklin, Taylor, or Bolio Gates, is encouraged to attend. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Monterey Youth Center.
