A Scotts Valley man has been sentenced in federal court for his role in a ponzi scheme. Chris Luck of Geringer, Luck, and Rode LLC helped divert half of more than $60 million in investments to himself and his partners. Luck pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud in July. He has been sentenced to over 10 years in prison and has been ordered to pay $33.2 million in restitution. Luck’s co-defendants, John Geringer of Scotts Valley and Keith Everts Rode of Los Angeles are awaiting sentencing.
