Parents appeared at the hearing, concerned about the amount of oversight school officials will have over fundraising. The board maintains the policy is a routine update, meant to ensure liability. Superintendant Henry Castaniada plans to release the new administrative regulations in February, which will clarify how the policy will be enacted.
