New Rooster Ordinance in Monterey County- 12/16/14 21:45 S.S.

Monterey County supervisors have passed a new ordinance that could impact people who breed roosters. Those who have five or more roosters in the unincorporated areas of the county will soon be required to obtain a permit. The new ordinance will exempt 4-H clubs, schools, and poultry breeders. The new ordinance is designed to reduce the number of people breeding roosters for fighting.
