Santa Cruz Man Indicted for Starting Fire- 12/16/14 10:00 A.S.

A Santa Cruz man who was previously charged with starting a huge fire in Northern California was indicted on Monday. 37-year-old Wayne Huntsman pleaded not guilty to deliberately starting the King Fire that burned more than 150 square miles east of Sacramento. The fire lasted almost a month, injured twelve people, destroyed twelve homes, and 68 other structures. Huntsman’s bail is set at $10 million, and he is facing a possible prison term of 10 years to life. Huntsman’s next court appearance is January 23rd.
