Two community organizations in Santa Cruz have collaborated to serve families experiencing homelessness. Encompass Community Services has installed a new Head Start play area at Homeless Services Center’s Rebele Family Shelter. The project will aim to provide a nurturing environment where staff can work with homeless parents and their children. The play area will also provide child development to promote school readiness.
