Martin’s Beach remained locked yesterday a week after the new owner was ordered to reopen an access gate. Last week a judge instructed the billionaire owner of the beach front parcel to restore public access to its original state. Although the previous owners sometimes kept the beach locked during bad weather, proponents of access to the beach see it as a legal maneuver towards a supreme court date, despite possible daily fines of more than $11,000.
