A man who was killed in a car crash on Highway 9 last week has been identified. 31-year-old San Lorenzo Valley resident Michael Kelly was driving northbound when he failed to negotiate a turn just north of California Drive. His car slid into oncoming traffic and was broadsided. Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene. The speed at which he was driving, and the slipperiness of the road from the early morning rain shower appear to have been contributing factors in the 6:40 a.m. Wednesday crash.
