The city of Seaside has received a grant to fund gang violence intervention and prevention efforts. Last week, the city council accepted $1.32 million from the California Gang Reduction, Intervention and Prevention or CalGRIP program. The grant will help expand and staff local youth programs. The funds will also support partnerships with community-based organizations and non-profits to provide resources and services for families.
