University of California officials have failed to disclose details on how it spends money.  The UC is required by law to release data on its expenditures. The information is being urgently sought now that the UC is asking regents to approve tuition increases. When Governor Jerry Brown signed AB94, the system was given a year to release a report. The UC requested a month extension before the October 1st deadline. On October 31st, UC president Janet Napolitano submitted a brief preliminary report, explaining that breaking down the system’s expenditures would be difficult. A final report is expected next month.
