Study Reveals Poor Road Quality in Central Coast- 10/29/14 8:00 S.G.

A study has been released revealing the quality of roadways in California. The report titled ‘Save California Streets’ was released this week by the California State Association of Counties and the League of California Cities. The study shows road conditions are poor in Monterey and San Benito counties and labels Santa Cruz County as high risk. Central Coast public works officials say the roadways will not improve as long their budgets remain stagnant. The report estimates an additional $7 billion is needed statewide to make roads safer.
