An inmate at Monterey County Jail suffered a fatal drug overdose over the weekend. Officials say 34-year-old Eddie Fuentes died shortly before 10:30 Saturday night when a bag filled with drugs burst in his stomach. Fuentes was booked four months ago on drug charges. An investigation into the incident is underway.
