The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District has joined a statewide program to serve students locally-grown food. The initiative called ‘California Thursdays’ encourages youth to eat healthier while supporting businesses in the Central Coast. The food will be sourced from 8 local food distributors. MPUSD is one of 15 California school districts launching the program.
