2 WATSONVILLE RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED AFTER A SATURDAY ROBBERY.  AT ABOUT 8:40 P-M, POLICE ARRIVED TO A REPORTED ARMED ROBBERY AT 79 ARISTA LANE. THE VICTIM PROVIDED INVESTIGATORS WITH A VEHICLE AND SUSPECTS DESCRIPTIONS, AND A FEW MINUTES LATER THE SUSPECT VEHICLE WAS SPOTTED, AND A CHASE ENSUED UNTIL THE SUSPECTS TURNED ON TO A DEAD END STREET.   THE DRIVER WAS THEN SEEN THROWING A HAND GUN FROM THE CAR BEFORE FLEEING ON FOOT.  SEVERAL OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES  SET UP A PERIMETER, WHILE THE PASSENGER 34 YEAR OLD ROCIO CASTILLO WAS TAKEN IN TO CUSTODY.   A 9-1-1 CALL ALERTED POLICE TO THE OTHER SUSPECT, WHO HAD INVADED A HOME AND BARRICADED HIMSELF IN A BATHROOM. OFFICERS BROKE DOWN THE DOOR AND A POLICE DOG BROUGHT THE SUSPECT INTO COMPLIANCE.   28 YEAR OLD BENJAMIN JAMES CHAVEZ ARESTED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TEATMENT FOR DOG BITES.  BOTH CHAVEZ AND CASTILLO WERE BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL ON MULTIPLE FELONY CHARGES.
