Local strike teams to Junction Fire- 1900 update – 08/20/14 0:700 S.S.

Cal-Fire crews from Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties have joined firefighters working to put out the Junction Fire in Madera County. The more than 600-acre wildfire has destroyed 47 structures and damaged 6. Mandatory evacuations orders, and road closures have been lifted. Oakhurst and Wasuma Elementary Schools, Oak Creek Intermediate Schools and Yosemite High School are expected to re-open tomorrow (Thursday). An evacuation shelter is in-place at Yosemite Lakes Community Church, which is located at 43840 Patrick Street in Coarsegold.
