KING CITY  POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A DRIVE BY SHOOTING.    AT ABOUT 9:15 P-M ON SATURDAY  , OFFICERS ARRIVED ON THE 2-HUNDRED BLOCK OF OXFORD AVENUE, TO FIND A 26-YEAR OLD JAMIE TORRES SUFFERING FROM A BULLET WOUND TO HIS BACK.     OFFICIALS SAY THE VICTIM WAS A GUEST A DINNER PARTY WHEN A DARK COLORED VEHICLE SLOWED AND A PASSENGER OPENED FIRE ON THE GROUP, THE VICTIM HAS BEEN HOSPITALIZED IN SERIOUS CONDITION.  ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THE SHOOTING IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE KING CITY POLICE  DEPARTMENT.

 

 

 

 

 

On Saturday August 2, 2014 at approximately 9:15 pm, King City PD Officers were dispatched to a shooting that occurred in the 200 blk of Oxford Ave.  When officers arrived, they were informed there was one victim of a gunshot wound who was taken to Mee Memorial Hospital by family members.

               

The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim does not live at the residence where the shooting occurred.  As family and friends enjoyed a late dinner in the garage of the residence, a dark colored vehicle was seen driving in front of the house.  As the suspect vehicle slowed down, a passenger within the vehicle began shooting at the family and the vehicle continued N/B on Oxford Ave.    

 

.  At Mee Memorial Hospital he was evaluated, stabilized and then transported to a Bay Area Hospital.  

 

The investigation is still in its preliminary stages and the motive for this shooting has not yet been determined.   The latest update on the victims’ condition is that he is stable and is expected to survive.
