salinas police are looking for a suspect in a failed armed ROBBERY. shortly before noon yesterday (mon), a man armed with a pistol entered a taqueria on the 8-hundred block of williams road. the suspect was holding a worker at gunpoint, demanding money, when he was startled by another employee allowing both workers to escape. the robber fled empty handed. anyone with any information is urged to contact the salinas police department.
