A Seaside pastor, who served his congregation for 54 years is slated to be honored in a couple of weeks. Although the Reverend Walton McGee is now 89 years-old and suffers from dementia, in an earlier time the street-corner preacher founded the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ. Services were originally held in a tiny white building at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and San Lucas Street, and now is Ina 1 million dollar church at 1450 Sonoma Avenue . The retirement party is scheduled to begin at 6 p-m June 7th at the Monterey Bay Embassy Suites Hotel
