the homeless garden project is trying a new fundraising tactic. the santa cruz based, project, which is in its 24th year, holds an annual fund raiser. the yearly event known as feed 2 birds with 1 worm, a scholarship fund aimed at re introducing homeless into the work force and community. this year the fundraiser is using social media sites along with traditional events to meet the may 18th goal of 18-thouand dollars. those interested can find the homeless gardens project on the crowdsource website Indiegogo, and face book.
