the santa cruz city council has decided not to sell scope park. scope park is the small piece of land across from the town clock. the council has decided the property is of no public value 3 times in the last 19 years. and for the 3rd time the council has opted to keep the property, after receiving offers from INTERESTED parties that were below the appraised value, of the roughly 45 hundred square foot property. meanwhile scope park costs the city between 3 and 4 thousand dollars annually in upkeep.
